I want, but do I deserve?

I love weekends !!!!!
My Sister Barb and I last summer..In the chicken pen.

I have a lot on my mind. I guess it is because I spend a lot of time here alone. Things I need to do. Things I want to do, and things I love to do.

Start. I would love to go to Maine again. Walk on the beaches and collect shells. Watch the sun come up and walk in the ocean. I love the coast. I love to just stand there and look as far as I can see. And wonder how God made so much beauty. I want to go to a real nice Hotel with big beds that have fluffy, clean, down filled comforters and room service. I want to order room service and not have to worry about the money. I want to eat lobster. I want to sit on that big comfy bed and read my emails on the lap top. Just like they do on the movies. I want my knees to be happy. Not hurtful. I do not like exercise. Can't you tell? I know it is good for me but I don't like it. I do like being in a pool and hot tub. I would love to weigh less . Like, ahhhh let's see.... myself, back in the summer of 1997. When I came back for my sweet sister's memorial service and everyone had to look twice to see if it was really me. I loved being like that. How did I lose that weight? That is when I goofed up my life and stupidly left Jeff. I lost weight and my mind all at the same time. How stupid was I ? Very.

I have asked Jesus to forgive me over and over and over. Even now, I do stupid things and ask for forgiveness. I am so glad He forgives me over and over. I pray I am worthy of God's Kingdom of Heaven when I die. I am more open now. I don't hide things from Bob. I want love and forgiveness. I love to be open. Let the past loose, and free yourself of shame, sin, and regret. That stuff will eat you alive. Okay back to stuff I want to do. I want to meet Daniela, my blog friend in North Carolina. She seems so fun to be around.

I love working with the kiddos, but right now I am making minimum wage. I work to teach and mold kids for the world and for the future. I want to do what God wants me to do. And right now, I want to just love kids. For God. I don't care if I don't make a lot of money. I work for God. I wish Bob would see that it's not about the money. If he loves me, he wouldn't care about how little I make. He would care that I am doing my job for God. Right?

Okay. I still want to buy a kiln. I want to fuse glass to make cool things like frames for pictures, sculptures, and necklaces. I want to use pretty colors of glass and 'create'. I would still love to have a bath tub. I love where we live right now but I miss soaking in a bath tub. I really do love where we live. Out in the country where I hear roosters crow every morning, (I just wish, they would crow once and then shut up). Where I look across the street and see Arabian horses running and grazing. I love the quiet. I love to watch Izzy chase the cats, and herd the chickens. I like watching the chickens scratch the ground and eat the extra scrapes I give them. Apples, grass, noodles, tortillas, what ever. I have sure learned a lot about chickens in the past year. I still sell a lot of eggs. And now I have put my flyer all over. Restaurants, feed stores, work, Hot dog stands, friends, and I even put a Fresh Eggs $2.25 a dozen on my mailbox out front. I'm a Chicken Wrangler.

I just got off the phone with my sister Barb. We talked for 41 minutes. We laughed a lot and mostly she talked and I listened. I love when she calls. It makes me feel closer to my home town Chicago. Nice place to visit. I love you Barb!!!! Thanks for calling. :0)

So back to my want list. I want to take pictures that blow people's socks off. I had a picture published in a local calendar. That was fun. But I want to have my photographs published on greeting cards and cool stuff like that. That is one of my goals. I just want to do fun stuff that makes God happy while I am here on Earth. I try not to worry about little stupid stuff, like boogie men, and how fat I am. Life is Life and God knows when we will be sent home . The exact minute. I wanna live for Him til the end of my life. I was talking to a couple of guy friends today at an auction and we are all in our 50's. The one guy said, We have (hopefully) a good 20 years left. Hopefully. Lets live it the best we can. NOW. Yep! I agree. The he said,"Think how fast the last 20 years have gone for us." We have to cherish every breath. So who ever is reading this, know I am happy and pretty darn content, and if I die tomorrow, It's ok. I wanna go home to see Jesus.......

Peace out yo...................love, Gail

Facts for You......

The human body is a machine that is full of wonder. This collection of human body facts will leave you wondering why in the heck we were designed the way we were.
1.. Scientists say the higher your I.Q. The more you dream.
2.. The largest cell in the human body is the female egg.
3.. The smallest is the male sperm.
4.. You use 200 muscles to take one step.
5.. The average woman is 5 inches shorter than the average man.
6.. Your big toes have two bones each while the rest have three.
7.. A pair of human feet contain 250,000 sweat glands.
(Bob's have more)
8.. A full bladder is roughly the size of a soft ball.
9.. The acid in your stomach is strong enough to dissolve razor blades.
10.. The human brain cell can hold 5 times as much information as the Encyclopedia Britannica.
11.. It takes the food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.
12.. The average human dream lasts 2-3 seconds.
13.. Men without hair on their chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair.
14.. At the moment of conception, you spent about half an hour as a single cell.
15.. There is about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.
16.. Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half a gallon of water to a boil.
17.. The enamel in your teeth is the hardest substance in your body.
18.. Your teeth start developing (in your gums) 6 months before you are born.
19.. When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate, they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate.
20.. Blondes have more hair than dark-haired people.
21.. Your thumb is the same length as your nose.
22.. At this very moment I know full well you are putting this last fact to the test ... now remove your thumb from your nose and pass this on to the friends you think might be interested in comparing their thumbs to their noses as well. You did it -- I KNOW you did !!!!!

SANDALS, SUN BLOCK AND SNOW?

Here is a new picture of Baby Benny, next to Chewy.
Well, I am feeling better. Life in Colorado is so funny. Tuesday was like 70 degrees and everyone at work was in shorts and sunglasses. We are having a week of Safety stuff. Police, Firemen, Animal handling, fingerprinting of kids, Bikers Against Child Abuse--B.A.C.A. (that's the people I am helping), also there is bike safety, gun safety, bus safety, and 'Stranger Danger' it is lots of fun. Anyway back to the weather......Right now it is SNOWING! A Winter Storm Warning. Can you believe it? Cold, yucky, wet, and slippery. So the kids tomorrow will be bundled up going from room to room. We have wild fires going on about 20 miles from us. Scary!!!! It has burned over 9000 acres so far.

:( It is on the way, we get to Colorado Springs. A pilot crashed while fighting the flames. Sad. Then there is another wild fire in Ordway, CO. Two firefighters were killed in that fire. Many houses were burnt up. I just hope it wasn't from some thoughtless smoker throwing out a 'cancer stick' out the window. They don't know yet. Now hopefully the snow will stop the fires. Or at least slow it down, so they can put it out.

I want to say I send my prayers to Virginia Tech being the anniversary of the tragedy today. :(

Also, my friend went to get an ultrasound, the baby looks fine and the brain cysts are GONE! Thank You Lord Jesus! And thank you all who prayed. God is so Awesome!!!!!

I collected 29 eggs Saturday and 25 today. I put up flyers and told my christian woman's java tour that we have fresh eggs for sale. I sold a dozen yesterday. :) Okay...Off to bed to get better......Love, Gail

Just April 3rd, 2008

It is Thursday and I wanted to say I have sold 18 dozen of our eggs this week. That is in 4 days friends. Our hens just keep poppin out eggs and I just keep selling them. That is one weeks worth of eggs here. Everybody is saying how fresh they taste. Well hello, they are fresh eggs, not eggs that have been shifted for a month in a store.
At work, one of my '4 year old preschoolers' has been calling me and all the other teachers "BITCH". Isn't it sad, that little kids have to listen to adults say such horrible things to eachother. You wouldn't believe the way some of these kids have to live due to their parent's choices. YUCK... There are a couple little kids I'd love to be their mom. I feel so sorry for their home life. Parents who smoke, or do heavy drugs, swear, or have partner after partner for their sensitive little children to see. Disgust. These little ones are our future. The next generation. SAD.
Happy Weekend people...Ciao.

MY NEW TATTOO......

YO, HI, It's Saturday morning. I am feeling lonely. Why? Bob is always gone. I like the alone time, but then I wish Bob was here to go somewhere with. Today is an auction. I go alone. I will see lots of friends there. That will be fun. I wanted to share my new tattoo with the world. It is to honor My Molly. She was the first one to see it over the email. So now that she has seen it, I can show the world. It is my number 12. My friend Heathe, is a tattoo artist, and goes to the same church I do. I think she did a great job. This Molly tattoo, is on my right forearm. As you can see in the picture, I have a black and blue mark near the "Y" Plus I didn't clean the area as of the picture. So its messy. It is sore right now. Healing is the hard part. The neat part of this is, I will be trading tat work for photo work. I will hopefully be taking her daughter's senior pictures. I love bartering.

Monday, I head back to work. Oh yippie. No, I missed the kids. It is just going to be hard not getting my nap everyday. I work 7 am, - 5 pm.

OK gotta get ready for the auction....Love, hugs and happy days!

Kids, Brock, Snow and Stuff.......................

MOLLY, BROCK, AND MIKE, MY FAVORITE FAMILY.
Sunday...March 16.2008

The day started out nice. Went to church, greeted people, worked in the nursery with the one year olds, then went home. Took care of Izzy and then drove to the auction. One of the ladies that helps at the auction, wanted a fryer chicken. I brought her one. She was happy. I didn't buy anything. When I left for home it was snowing. Or sleeting. I just can't believe how much snow Colorado as a whole, has gotten this winter. The mountains and ski areas have feet and feet of snow. Here we have ground cover and the weather on TV keeps saying tomorrow will be bad getting around. Yuck. Anyone who knows me , knows I hate driving in the snow. Bob is in Texas, where the weather is 70 and 80's. Poor Bob. Ha Ha.

I got to talk to Brock and Molly on the phone last night. Molly and Brock were getting ready to dye Easter eggs. Molly was talking to me and then starts asking Brock, "What do you have in your mouth? " He opens his mouth and in it is a tablet for dying the Easter eggs...BLUE. Molly said his whole mouth was blue. To me, it was funny picturing it all. That little boy makes me smile. He gets on the phone and tells me he wants me to come over now. OH I wish I could. He tells me, he and mommy and daddy just saw the new Dr. Seuss movie and it was "Cool." I wish I could blink and be there instead of an 18 hour train ride, or a 20 hour car ride, or even a two hour 15 minute plane ride. I just miss him. God knows why I love Brock so big. He is a little extension of me. I love him so much. I do not miss Illinois, I miss my family. I would hate to leave Colorado. I feel it is home. But not where my family is. :(

I have to share some funny things the kiddos at work have been saying. Little E said that when she went to her dad's house, they ate "swamwhiches" . It was so cute. Then I have a Batman t-shirt and the face of Batman comes right at boob level. Well, the little boys just have to come up to me and poke at Batman's head. And then they ask, "Who is that?" Poking at Robin. I say "Batman's friend Robin." They absolutely love this shirt. Miss Gail is so cool. Then a little girl on the bus says to me, as she hands me a cut out heart, "I made your heart beautiful!" So simple, so wonderful. Another little boy tells me he loves me more than 193 50. Wow that is a lot!!! 193 50. And that is why I love these kids. One of my kids got a baby pig as a pet. His mom wanted a little pink pig and he tells me when he picks it up it squeals. I asked the mom, "You do realize this cute, little, baby pig will reach over 200 pounds?" She says "Yeah". They didn't want a bunny? Oh well. They also have two Italian Greyhounds. Last Weds and Thursday, I played football with about 7 of the 4 and 5 year old boys. So now they come up to me and ask me to play more football. I get to throw the ball and they "TRY" to catch it. My mom taught me how to throw a football. I haven't knocked out any kids, yet. It is so fun. Yes I do get excercise. UGH. Now if I could only teach them to rub my feet. Haha. Well, I better get goin. I have this week to work and then we have a whole week OFF. Spring Break Rocks. Anyone want to send me to IL?

Bob is doing well in Texas, He starts the full time work tomorrow. He is a little sick. Coughing and head cold stuff. He got to go to church today with some friends. He liked it. I miss him. I got 25 eggs today. You should see our fridge. EGGVILLE!!! There is about 9 dozen right now. Bob's brother Randy, came over the other day and gave us 30 egg cartons!! It was great and we were out. Thanks Randy!! And Happy Birthday Ray. Another brother of Bob.

So have a great week and a nice ST. Patrick's Day...Peace

CHICKEN TOWN

GOT ALL THESE TODAY.
OUR SUNRISE FROM THE DRIVEWAY

Cool News..................

This picture has nothing to do with this blog...
Bob came home last Saturday afternoon. He is ready to leave today, a week later. :(

We had fun. He surprised me and took me to Embassy Suites in the Springs for an overnight. I had always wanted to show him how cool an E.S. was. The free drink time, the greenery all over, the free breakfast in the morning. The bed was so comfy. It was fun.. We also went to Camping World, Michael's, Wal-Mart, Ross, the Accountant, the Financial guy, and just had fun bein together.

Here is the really great news...Last year we got a loan for a 24 foot JayCo

camping trailer. That is what Bob takes to the jobs all over, and stays in. He saves about 2/3's of what a motel room costs. Well, a mere few months later Bob has PAID OFF the trailer and it is ours!. Yes I said months. I am very proud that Bob is taking such care of our money now. It is so wonderful. Retirement, Life Insurance. Its so cool to see how far he has come. I think God had a lot to do there.

We will celebrate 10 yrs of marriage 'May 10' of this year. Wow. It's a lot to celebrate. He is off to Texas, this afternoon. He will be takin Pilgrim with for the company. I wish he'd take some of the chickens. HaHa.

We have been getting about 20 eggs a day now. I need more egg cartons. We are planning to get our own made. Custom made. Cool. So life is fun. Please pray for Bob's safety on the road and at the job. And me for the bein alone stuff. God Bless......love, Gail

Sunday Funday........

A blue egg among the brown...I love it.
Momma and Baby, Benny
Mooooove over, I'm here....
Our happy chickens and loud roosters..

Sunday. I was late getting to church today because I went to the pasture where the cows are and there was a little, black, bull, baby just a couple hours old. He is so cute. I named him Benny. Don't know why. He looks like a Benny. His momma is a big red Angus. I noticed she has 6 utters. Whoa 6? Yes. So Benny is outside with momma.

I have been getting lots of eggs lately from our chickens. And TODAY...we got our very first aqua colored egg from our araconna(sp) hens. They have green legs and the prettiest rust, brown, and blueish feathers. So I am so excited to get our first blue egg. I got 14 eggs today altogether. The other day I collected 16. They are so good and so fresh. I had a couple for breakfast. Just laid eggs. The ones in the stores you buy have been out of the chicken for weeks! Gross. Our yokes are orange. Store yolks are faded yellow. Its so fun looking for the eggs everyday. Five in this nest, 3 in this nest, then in the other building 8 more. It's like Easter egg hunting everyday. I love it.

I went to the in laws house today and Art was baking cookies with his granddaughter. I got there at the right time. Raisin, oatmeal and coconut cookies. I put ice cream in their freezer. Tee hee. So it was a fun day and I even got to take a nap after church. Now I watch the Academy Awards. Peace. Oh and I am feeling much better...
