Keep Bob safe Jesus..................

Ok, its 8 am Saturday morning April 28. Bob has been home for two days and we had fun. He just left for Washington. :( I am just blessed that we got two days to be together. I took off work so I could be with him. I did all his laundry. Five loads of laundry. Cooked all his favs. And we even drove around and took care of chores. His step mom was glad to see him. She lost her sister Mary this past Weds. Pray for Betty she is grieving. Betty's son Glen, who had the lung transplant, was doing really well. But now he is getting bloody water around the lungs. He needs prayer too. Betty, as you could guess, is worrying about Glen her son, and losing her sister. Glen is a very strong christian and he keeps saying "God is in control and if it's his time to go to heaven , he is fine with it". Wow.
I just got a blood work up done, bone density scan, blood pressure, heart read out, oxygen in my blood. Everything came out fine so far. I haven't gotten the blood work results back yet. I tried yet again, to give blood yesturday. I was rejected again. Low iron again. I was one point away from being able to donate. I have even been taking iron pills. Oh well. That is ok. I have given 2 gallons in the past. I am also an organ donor. I hope when I go, they can use lots of things to help others. The good news for the week is I have insurance for the month of May. Yippie. I am off for the summer, so I won't have it then. Gotta get everything else done in May.
There is something Bob and I are working on but don't want to spill the beans quite yet. It is exciting and from God. We have to wait on a couple things to see if it will go through. I know it is from God, He placed it in our hearts...Stay tuned.... No I am Not pregnant you silly.
Please pray for Bob as he travels way out, northwest. I prayed for him this morning that the God's angels would surround him and keep him safe. He has come a long way from Godless to a warrior for Christ. I am so happy. He is looked up to (sort of) at the power plants as someone to go to when you need prayer. I am so excited about Bob's walk with Jesus. It's great.
I won a Qdoba Mexican Grill dinner for 4 this past week on the way to work. I was the seventh caller and answered the question correct. The question was.....Where was Cracker Jack introduced to the world? I guessed the World's Fair in Chicago.. I won. Don't ask me the year. I have to drive to Colorado Springs and pick up my prize. Cool. Oh, I also won a door prize. A Mayo Clinic book at my last meeting from work. I love it. It is about eating healthy. I'm a winner. I guess that is all for now. If you want more people to pray for here is my current list....Ryan.for swelling in his neck. Pastor Paul who married Bob and I ..he had a mini stroke. John P. who had a bone marrow transplant and is now healing. Praise God. My friend Karla in KY, who needs lots of prayer to keep her family together. And of course, Glen, Betty and Bob. Thanks..Have a blessed week....love, Gail

Turkey Time

It is a beautiful Sunday evening. The weather is perfect. I sat outside and across the street from us is a horse farm. Well this past week two colts were born. So adorable. They run and romp and kick. So hard to believe they were folded up for 11 mns in their momma's.
Molly called me last night to tell me there was a wild turkey in their garage. How funny. It even layed an egg in the front. But some kids took the egg. Mike took pictures and sent them to me. So funny. Brock just starring at this Turkey hen in his garage. The police told them to let it go free. So they did. It's funny how God puts fun and excitment in our busy lives for a few minutes or hours to make us laugh. He is our Daddy........................Love, Gail

Hey, hows it goin? I am doing ok and enjoying the snow of this "Spring". At least we didn't get the 5-10 inches they told us we were going to get.

This past week was a busy one. It was my brother-in-law Pete's 50 th birthday. There was a surprise party for him last weekend, back in IL. Everyone said it was so much fun. Pete is a really great guy and has put up with a lot of stuff from our family. I am so blessed to have introduced Pete to my family and have my sister end up marrying him. He takes such good care of Barb. As well as the rest of Barb's family. He is a clown professionally, as well as an eight foot Elvis, an elf, very cool Santa, a really great DJ, and lots more. My favorite thing is his balloon animals and flowers he makes. AWESOME !!! So Happy Birthday Pete, love ya.

I have a sinus cold and took off of work yesterday. Tomorrow I go to a Health fair and I am having a blood work up done. Make sure everything is ok.

Bob is doing good in Texas, but he has a bad sinus thing going on and a cough. He really doesn't like the Texas humidity. Can't wait til he gets home. 13 days. But then he goes to Washington State a few days after that. :( Well gotta go study for my blood tests.. Ha ha. Just kidding....

BANANAS ARE SO GOOD FOR US.HAPPY EASTER

Note: forwarded message attached.
Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!! This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again. Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fr uit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet. Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier. PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood. Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia. Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke. Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert. Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives. Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system. Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief. Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness. Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation. Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system. Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady. Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over- acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach. Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan. Smoking &Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal. Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be re balanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack. Strokes: According to research in The New England Journal of Medicine, eating bananas as part of a regu lar diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%! Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

Shoe Shine: Want a quick shine on your shoes. Take the INSIDE of the banana skin and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth. Amazing fruit! So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

Jesus Loves Me This I Know....................

Happy Easter.
Jesus died a bloody death on a cross, for each one of US. He loves us That Much. Our sins were forgiven by His sacrifice. I don't deserve such honor. Honor Him by giving your life to Him. Live for Him. Happy Easter..Thanks Jesus, I Love You.

4-1-2007

Well today started out very funny. I picked up my neice to take her to church with me. We drive to church and I told her "watch this"....We walk in and with a very serious face, we go up to our Pastor Kirk (the 50 year old adorable Japanese guy), We shake hands and he says "Hey Gail hows it going?" With a dead serious look on my face I say , "Fine, but I just found out I am pregnant." He says ," Oh my gosh, are you serious? " Then I smile and I say, "APRIL FOOL'S!!" He laughed out loud. So loud. It was awesome. He loved it...So as our other pastor is walking around, shaking hands, he comes by our row and looks at me and says, "Gail I hear you're pregnant, Well the other two friends ,Jen and Jason, we were sitting next to said very loud-- "HUH?" Then the pastor Cory says.."APRIL FOOLS." I laughed, my neice laughed , but Jen and Jason were so in shock they wanted to kill me. It was great!!! So then me doing that, Cory tells the whole church that our senior Pastor's wife is pregnant. She is 46 and they just adopted wonderful 1 year old little girl from China. So the whole church was clapping, and cheering and then Pastor Kirk comes up, as everyone is clapping, and says..."APRIL FOOL'S!!!!" Oh my goodness look what I started......
