Puppies....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Memorial Day... This weekend has been a blur. My friend called me at 6 am Saturday and said to "Come over I think Lilo is in labor". Her 4 year old AMERICAN BULLDOG. I go over and she is in early labor. Panting. Scratching newspapers. She is huge. Ok to make a long story short....She wasn't progressing, and all of a sudden a burst of green, Kelly green am ionic fluid squirts out...We call the emergency vet. A 45 minute drive. We end up driving up there at 2:50 pm on Saturday afternoon. They check her out, weigh her, yes in active labor.....She has one puppy. Then we leave to get a bite to eat and come back and we are allowed to go sit with her. She pops out a puppy in its sac... It's green. I'm serious, the puppy is green, and brindle. He is so cute we call him Greenie., Lucky Charm, Clover, Little Hulk. Today he is still green. Its from the sac and fluid. So funny. Anyway after three shots of Oxytosin, a bag of fluids intervenes, and lots of rest, she ends up having nine healthy puppies. The last one did NOT want to come out. We waited and prayed and hoped, and finally she shot out and I took the sac off and let her momma clean her up. she was weak, but we rubbed her and got the stuff out of her throat and shes fine. Shalena and I were so happy we thanked Jesus over and over cuz Lilo didn't need a $1,500 C-section. And that would have been after delivering 8 puppies naturally. . Yea God. My lesson I learned, Know what you are doing in breeding dogs, and delivering. Have money available in case of an emergency. Pray a lot. It was fun and a fun adventure I shared with Shalena. The puppies are 3 girls, and 6 boys. She is a great momma, when she doesn't lay on them. Birth is always awesome.....I'm going to take a nap!!! ps. Don't forget to remember your loved ones..xo

Chickens and Harleys

Oh what a funny day. I am still computerless at home, but not for long. Bob bought a new one and its being made. Yippie. This morning was a stitch. I went over to the in-laws house and I helped transfer 50 something chickens around. From one hen house to a differnet one. My mother in law caught them by the feet and handed them to me sometimes 3-4 at a time upside down. It was fun.
The little chicks Bob bought are almost all grown up now. So they needed a bigger place to be. I just can't get over how Betty can do so much physical stuff at her age. She is amazing. I have to go over there Sunday and monday and take care of all the birds...Peacocks, ducks, chickens, and roosters. I feed and collect eggs.. Love it. I wish you could have seen me carrying the chickens by the feet, and when a couple flew into my face. Crazy fun.
I went to Colorado Springs after that adventure and went to the Harley Davidson Dealer and saw a couple Orange County Choppers on display. Pretty fancy bikes I must say. I only bought a new decal for my car. I wanted to buy a Harley Hooded sweatshirt but they were $71.00. Yikes.

End of the School Year!!!

Yo. I have one more day of work and then summer vacation. I will so miss the kids. We have been cleaning our classroom and putting everything in storage. Yesterday was the last day for kids..We had Family Field day. I did face painting. Oh brother. The things kids want. I had to paint a couple boys with full face Spiderman or snakes, or tigers. They are so funny. One little boy just wanted to be scary. So I painted his face red, black and painted fangs on him. He looks in the mirror and comes back and says he wants to be scarier. So I made it look like blood was dripping from his nose. He loved it. Girls wanted hearts, butterflies, and tigers on their faces. It was cold too, and these little ones were shivering at times. It was fun. I will miss the kids so much. I am sure I will run into them at our local wal-mart.
Tomorrow we have a lunch at the local Italian resturant. We will find out who are secret pals have been . It will be a fun time. So until next time.....Be safe out there.

BUSY WEEKEND

Happy Weekend!!!! I am having a busy Saturday. I have gone to a bunch of garage sales and bowling and now here to the coffee shop. The near by town of Canon City, had a huge Garage Sale for the town. It was fun. I got a dog bed at the Animal Shelter for $7.50 that both dogs can lay in at the same time. It is used but very nice. Oh the Animal shelter had a big sale too outside.
I am looking forward to the birth of my friends puppies...She has asked me to be there to help since I have experience with whelping. She has a white female American Bulldog. Lilo. Her male is huge and I know she will have a lot of puppies. I am nervous and excited. Her male American Bulldogs, name is Stunkers. He is red and very handsome. I will let you all know when the big event happens. I expect about ten puppies. Wow!
There is also a huge wonderful custom car show here this weekend at the Abbey across the street. I wish son-in-law Mike was here to go with me. They even have custom trucks and motorcylces. I would like to go but not alone. Oh well next time? I miss Bob on days like this.
Tomorrow at church I greet at the 9 am service and then run downstairs to teach and take care of babies 0-2 at the 10:45 service.
Last night I went to the pre-school graduation of the place I work on Fridays. It was very fun and I was asked to take pictures. I did 81 pictures. They even had me on stage as a sub teacher. The kids looked so cute. I got lots of hugs. I was so happy to have my sweet friend Susan go with me. Thanks Susan!!!! You are great.
Today was my friend Kara's Birthday (24) and I went bowling with her, her husband, her sister whom I work with at school,her husband, and their daughter Selena. I bowled a 134 game. Me! Then I bowled a sad 91. Now I am at the Coffee Cafe on the computer. I gotta get home to the doggies. Write me.

Thinking, thinking, thinking.......................

Hi I am at the library again. Still no computer. AAAAGGGHHHHH. I have been thinking lately. About my future. I really don't know if I want to stay at this job. I love the kids ,(most days), but I am so looking forward to summer vacation. I need to get away from children for a bit. Except Brock. :0)
Bob still wants me to try the power plant thing. I am praying about it all. Yes, I love the kids, but it is such little money. We do so much for min. wage. It stinks.
I just don't know. I am so sad by some of the home stories I hear. Mom on Drugs, Mom in jail or dad in jail, laziness. Kids feeling unloved. I need a break.
So here I am. I guess I just miss IL. I need to see family. I may go bowling tomorrow...For my friends Birthday. Fun. Next week is the last week of school. Clean up, Parties, and Field day . Should be fun...

Happy Mother's Day 2007

I have to do this fast. I am at a coffee house on their computer. Just wanted to say hi, check in read everyones blog. Our home computer died so we now have to decide to get a lap top or a new tower. Any suggestions? Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms and wanna be moms. It is a very awesome profession. I love it. Just wish Molly and I were closer in a lot of ways. I miss her. Bob is in Washington State at the outage. I miss him. I will meet him June 18 in OR. I got my plane ticket. :) Thank you for all the anniversary greetings too. It was fun. I wish Bob had been with me tho. Please pray that Bob finds a Power Plant that he can work at full time, and we can move to and be together. Close or in IL. That's my prayer right now.
